Leslie Sharp, Ph.D.

Leslie Sharp, Ph.D., serves as Chief Scientific Officer of Sidewinder Therapeutics. Dr. Sharp is an accomplished pharmaceutical-biotech industry scientific and strategic leader with extensive experience in drug discovery and development. She has in-depth knowledge of drug discovery ranging from idea through early clinical development and has over 25 years of experience in biologics, cancer, immunomodulators, and antibody drug conjugate discovery at leading US and European biotech and pharmaceutical companies. Prior to Sidewinder, she was Chief Scientific Officer or OncoMyx Therapeutics, Vice-President at BioAtla, Associate Director of Oncology at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation, and Associate Research Fellow at Pfizer. She has demonstrated success in all phases of pre-clinical drug discovery from target identification and validation, hit to lead, lead to candidate selection, and candidate selection to early clinical development and has been responsible for multiple INDs at several companies. She was a postdoctoral fellow at The Scripps Research Institute and received her Ph.D. in biology at the University of California, San Diego.
