Davy Ouyang, Ph.D.

Davy (Xuesong) Ouyang, Ph.D., serves as Executive Vice President, Research and Development of Sidewinder Therapeutics. With over 20 years of experience in drug discovery and scientific leadership, Dr. Ouyang has held key positions in biotechnology, clinical research organizations (CROs), and multinational pharmaceutical companies. Prior to Sidewinder, he was Vice President, Head of Biology at InnoCare Pharma, where he delivered 10 Investigational New Drug (IND) approvals in three years. He also led the establishment of biologics discovery capabilities at InnoCare and formed a preclinical pipeline focusing on oncology and autoimmune diseases. Prior to InnoCare, Dr. Ouyang served as Vice President, Scientific Research and Innovation at Crown Bioscience, where he led in vivo pharmacology research and development. Prior to Crown, he served as a research scientist at Merck & Co. Dr. Ouyang received his Ph.D. in Cancer Biology from the University of Hong Kong and completed his postdoctoral training with Dr. Cory Abate-Shen at Rutgers University. He has published 44 research papers and three book chapters in the biomedical field.
